When you call, here's what we handle.

Lockouts are the highest-stakes call most of our customers ever make. We treat each one that way. Below is the work we do, the way we do it, and what to expect when you're standing outside in the cold with no key.

House lockouts

Front doors, side doors, garage entry doors, sliders that wedged shut on their own. We pick or bypass the lock non-destructively, then check that nothing was damaged before we leave. If a deadbolt is broken or frozen, we'll tell you on the phone before we head out so you know what to expect.

Car lockouts

Any make or model — sedans, SUVs, trucks, EVs. Keys locked inside, keys in the trunk, keys lost entirely. We use wedges and reach tools to open the door without scratching the paint or popping the window. If your year/make is one of the rare ones that doesn't respond to non-destructive entry, we'll tell you that before we head over.

Office & business lockouts

Glass doors, magnetic locks, server rooms, storage cages, retail back-of-house. Commercial lockouts are different from residential ones — different hardware, different protocols, and someone is usually on a clock. We work with property managers and tenants alike, and we keep records of what we touched.

Broken-key extraction

Snapped your key off in the lock? Don't try to pry it. We extract the broken piece without damaging the cylinder so you don't have to replace the lock. Bring the head of the key if you have it — we can usually cut you a new one on the spot.

Non-destructive entry — what it actually means

We open most locks without damaging them. Picks, bypass tools, air wedges, and bump keys come first. We only drill or cut a lock as a last resort, and only with your explicit permission. If a lock has to be replaced after, we'll tell you on the phone — you decide before we touch the door.

What to do while you wait

Stay near the door or your car so we can confirm we're at the right place. Have your ID ready (this is required for any locksmith service — we'd rather not unlock someone else's door). If you're in an unsafe spot, walk to a well-lit area or building lobby and we'll meet you there.

Locked myself out of the office on a Sunday morning at Sierra Point. They picked up, were straightforward about timing, and got me back in without damaging the door. Will keep them on speed dial.

We had them set up a master key system across two floors of our office on the Genentech corridor. Thorough, professional, and the documentation they left us is exactly what facilities asked for.

Brand new house in Daly City. Wanted everything rekeyed and a smart lock installed on the front door. They walked me through options honestly — never pushed me into the most expensive thing.

Locked out? Here's what to do.

A few seconds of calm makes a real difference. Here's what works, what doesn't, and what to expect from us the moment you call.

  1. 01

    Don't force the lock.

Damaged locks cost more to replace than the lockout itself. Step away from the door — we'll handle it.

  2. 02

    Call us at (628) 250-3419.

Tell us your address and what's locked. We'll quote you on the phone — no surprises when we arrive.

  3. 03

    Get to a safe spot.

Car lockout in a parking lot or on the street? Stay near a well-lit area. A building lobby is fine too.

  4. 04

We'll roll out as soon as we can.

We'll confirm an ETA with you by call or text before we leave. No ghosting, no mystery wait.

(628) 250-3419

Outside our listed hours? Call anyway — we respond to emergency calls outside hours when we can. We'll be honest about timing the moment you call.

Emergency Locksmith FAQ

Straight answers, no fine print.

Questions we get a lot for emergency locksmith jobs. If yours isn't here, call — we'd rather have a quick conversation than guess wrong.

What should I do if I'm locked out of my car late at night?
Get to a well-lit area or building lobby, call us, and stay near your car. Most car lockouts are non-destructive — we won't break a window unless absolutely needed and only with your explicit confirmation. Tell us your location and your year, make, and model on the phone.
What do I need to bring or have ready?
A photo ID that matches the address (for house lockouts) or proof of vehicle ownership like registration (for car lockouts). It's how reputable locksmiths confirm they're helping the right person — we'd rather wait an extra five minutes than open the wrong door.
How does billing work for an emergency call?
We quote you on the phone before we dispatch — flat-rate honest pricing based on what's locked, where you are, and the time of day. No mystery fees when we arrive. If something changes mid-job (a drill becomes necessary, for example), we'll pause and confirm before continuing.
Will you break my window or drill my lock?
Almost never. Non-destructive entry works on the overwhelming majority of cars and locks. Window-breaks and drill-outs are last-resort moves and require your explicit go-ahead. We'll explain why if we ever recommend one — and you decide.
What if the deadbolt itself is broken, not just locked?
We can usually open the door regardless, then either rebuild the lock on-site or replace the cylinder. We carry common deadbolt hardware in the van. If yours is unusual (high-security, antique mortise, foreign-spec), we may need to schedule a return visit — but we'll get the door open first.
What if I lost my keys completely?
We can rekey the lock on-site so the lost keys won't work even if someone finds them. For cars, we can usually program a fresh transponder or smart fob from scratch. Bring your title or registration.
Do you respond outside your listed hours?
Our listed hours (Sunday–Thursday 7 AM–12 AM, Friday 7 AM–3 PM) are when we guarantee response. Outside those hours we still take emergency calls and respond when we can. Call and we'll be honest about timing the moment we pick up.
Which neighborhoods do you cover for emergency calls?
Brisbane (home base), Daly City, South San Francisco, San Bruno, Millbrae, Burlingame, Pacifica, and the southeast quadrant of San Francisco — Mission, SOMA, Bayview, Excelsior, Portola, Visitacion Valley. If you're outside that zone, call anyway — we'll be honest about whether we're the right fit or refer you to someone closer.
